Printing From Your Own Devices
Staff and Sixth Form students who have their devices connected to our free Wi-Fi service are able to print to selected printers in school. The printers available are Art, Library, Maths IT Room, IT1, IT1 Colour, IT2, IT3, IT4, IT4, IT5, IT6, Sixth Form Study Rooms, Staff Room and Technology. This service works on all devices - Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and ChromeOS.
It is very straightforward to use and is a two-part process. Firstly, follow step 1 to set up the service on your device. You only need to do this once. You will then be able to print from your device. Printed documents will be sent to our print server in a held state; you will then need to follow step 2 to confirm and release your document (similar to how you do in school). This is done through the PaperCut web client (see below).
Printing from your own devices is monitored and logged in exactly the same way your normal printing is, and will count towards your printing balance. Printing that we deem excessive WILL be followed up and we may charge you for it
iOS (iPad / iPhone) users can skip this step. Air Print will find the school printers automatically when connected to our Wi-Fi. Just print your document as you would normally using Air Print, choose a printer, type in your school username and password when prompted and then skip to step 2
Follow the link below to set up Mobility Print on your device. You only need to do this once on each device. Once you have done this, you will be able to print from your device in the usual way and choose from a list of available printers. You will be asked to enter your username and password each time you print. Use your regular school username and password.
Each time you print, you will be required to confirm and release your print job. Follow the link below to do this. You will be asked for your regular school username and password. For speed, you can also access the link below directly from our website, on the 'portal' menu and then under 'mobility print'. You may also bookmark the link on your device. This link will only work in school and when connected to our Wi-Fi.
